Ata's Shrimp Soup


Serves 4

1/2 kilo of king prawns
2 onions
handful of cherry tomatoes
1 tsp pepper puree
half stem of ginger
1 clove of garlic minced
1 desert spoon of flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
pinch of chilli flakes
2 cups of water
chopped coriander 

finely chop ginger
chop the onion into small pieces 
mince your garlic
fry all of these ingredients on a low heat in a saucepan 
add your king prawns 
when everything is cooked add the tomatoes and pepper puree
add 2 cup of water
bring to boil and simmer until soft
sieve the ingredients into another saucepan
peel the shrimps and put aside
put the shells and contents of the sieve back into the original saucepan
add more water and boil again and if you want you can add a few more tomatoes and pepper puree
sieve again back into the saucepan with the soup
add the flour to thickening slightly
ensure you push down so all the flavour goes through
then heat up the saucepan and add the peeled king pawns
season with your chopped coriander 
sprinkle chilli flakes
squeeze a lemon over and season well
